Breaking stress =2.45×108N/m2
Y=11.8×1010N/m2α=1.6×105/oC
Now, Y=StressStrain
Putting values
Strain=StressY=2.45×1081.6×105=0.21×102
strain=ll=αT
So,
αT=0.21×1021.6×105T=0.21×102T=0.129×103=129.7T=150129.7T20.2
At this temperature, the wire will break when it is cooled.
