A hundred metre sprinter increases her speed from rest uniformly at the rate 1m/s up to three quarters of the total run and covers the last quarter with the uniform speed . How much time she take to cover the first half and second half of the run .

d = 100 m
v2=u2+2ab
1=0+2×a×34d
1=2×a×34×100
a=1150m/s2
To reach 50 m, 50=12×1150×t2t=15000s
To reach 75 m, 7512×1150×t21t1=75×300s
So, time to cover from 50 m to 75 m =t1=t
Remaining time =25 m1 m/s=s
