a. In the given figure, the two balloons are initially at a distance of 10cm. How would the distance be affected if air is blown between them?


b. Why are people advised not to stand near fast-moving trains?

a. We know that the high-speed air is accompanied by a low pressure. Hence, when we blow air between the two balloons, the pressure in between the balloons decreases and they come closer to each other. So, the distance between them will be less than 10 cm for sometime after the air is blown.

b. When a train moves with high speed it creates a region of lower pressure. This low pressure pushes man towards the train.
Hence, people are advised not to stay near a fast-moving train.
