Solution

The correct option is D 16000

Let x be the investment of B

From the given information, we have

Investment of A =125%ofx=1.25x

Investment of C =80%ofx=0.85x

Total of all the three =61,000

1.25x+x+0.8x=61,000

3.05x=61,000

x=610003.05

x=20000

Investment of C=80%of20000=0.8X20000=16000

Hence, C invested 16000
