The correct option is D 35 years and 15 years
Let the present ages of A and B be x and y respectively.
Presently, x=y+20 ...(1)
5 years ago, (x5)=3(y5) ...(2)
From (1) and (2), we get
(y+15)=3y15
y=15 years
x=35 years

Hence, option D is the correct answer.
