Here k = 3, x = 60

$\therefore$ Time in which they can do it together

$=\frac{3\times 60}{3^2-1}=\frac{3\times 60}{8}=22\frac{1}{2}=\frac{45}{2}$

$\Rightarrow 2k=45$ days
