Solution

Firstly, we need to convert 1 litre into millilitres.
We know that 1L = 1000 mL
So juice in jar = 1000 mL
Juice that was poured in the first glass = 14 of 1000mL
We all know how to divide a number into it's quarters. We need to divide the given number by 4.
So first glass will contain = 1000 mL ÷ 4 = 250 mL
Remaining juice in the jar = 1000 - 250 = 750 mL
From it 12 of the remaining is again poured into second glass.
So second glass contains = 750 ÷ 2 = 375 mL
First Glass = 250 mL
Second Glass = 375 mL
