Solution

Total number of marbles in the jar =54.

Probability of drawing a blue marble =13
We know that,

Probability of choosing a blue marble, P(B)=Number of blue marblesTotal number of marbles

13=Number of blue marbles54
Number of blue marbles=54×13=18

Probability of drawing a green marble =49

Similarly,

Probability of choosing a green marble, P(G)=Number of green marblesTotal number of marbles

49=Number of green marbles54

Number of green marbles=54×49=24

So, number of white marbles = Total number of marble (Sum of blue and green marbles)

=54(18+24)=5442=12

Therefore, jar contain 12 marbles.
