$I n : △ A B C$ , side $B C$ represents the vertical distance of window from base and $A C$ represents the ladder.
Given :
$B C = 10 m$
$A B = 5 m$
To find: $A C$
Now, $I n : △ A B C$ , we have
${A B}^{2} + {B C}^{2} = {A C}^{2}$ (using pythagoras theorem)
$5^{2} + 10^{2} = {A C}^{2}$
${A C}^{2} = 25 + 100 = 125$
$\Rightarrow A C = 5 \sqrt{5} m$
