A ladder reaches a wall upto a height of 15 cm and the foot of the ladder is 8 cm away from the base of the wall. Find the length of the ladder.

Sine ladder forms a right angled triangle with the wall and the ground

Length of ladder $= \sqrt{(8)^{2} + (15)^{2}}$

$= \sqrt{68 + 225}$

$= \sqrt{289}$

$= 17 c m$ .
