Let AB be the tower and C & D be the two positions of the bus.

So, ACB = 45, ADB = 30 and AB = h, CD = x, AC = y

ABAC = tan 45 = 1 y = h

ABAD = tan 30 = 13

x + y = 3 h

We get x = (3- 1) h is covered in 12 min

So, h will be covered in 12(3 1) h x h = 16 min 23 sec.
