Finding the width of the flower bed:

Given area of flower bed is 34squarefeetsuch that the rectangular flower bed such that the width is half of the length.

Length=2×Width

Area of rectangle =Length×Width
Area of rectangle= 2×Width×Width
34=2×(Width)2
Width=342

=4.123
Width4.1feet (nearest tenth)

Hence, the width of the flower bed is 4.1feet.
