Solution

Given that, the lawn is in the shape of an equilateral triangle having side 75 m.
To find out: Cost of fencing the lawn at the rate of Rs. 12 per metre.

We know that, an equilateral triangle has all sides equal.
Hence, perimeter of an equilateral triangle of side a is 3a,

Perimeter of the lawn =3×75=225 m

Now, cost of fencing 1 m=Rs. 12
The cost of fencing 225 m=Rs. 12×225
Rs. 2700

Hence, the cost of fencing the lawn is Rs. 2700.
