Given that,

Rise temperature =ΔT

Mass of the bullet =m

Now, the kinetic energy associated with the bullet

K.E=12mv2

K.E=12×0.021×(100)2=105J

Now, according to law of conservation of energy

Change in kinetic energy of bullet = change in internal energy of wood

K.E=msΔT

ΔT=K.Ems=105J21×0.03×4.2=39.68oC

Hence, the rise temperature of bullet is 39.68oC
