Concave lens: There are two possibilities for obtaining a virtual image but the size of the image is always diminished or point size.

Convex Lens: There is only one possibility to obtain a virtual image.
When the object is placed between the Focus and the optical center of the lens- Image formed is virtual and erect and enlarged
