We know that, in English alphabet, there are 26 letters (5 vowels + 21 consonants).

So, total number of outcomes, n(S) = 26

Let E = event of choosing a consonant

E = {b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z}

n(E) = 21

Therefore P(E) = n(E)n(S) =2126
