where m= mass of the object and v= velocity of the object

Kinetic Energy, KE =12mv2
=12m2v2m(by multiplying and dividing by m)

Let kinetic energy of lighter and heavier objects be K.El and K.Eh, respectively.
K.ElK.Eh=P2l2mlP2h2mh=mhml(Since Pl=Ph)
where Pl and Ph are momentum and ml and mh are the mass of lighter and the heavier object, respectively.
