Here in this case we can write that ,Let the mass of the light object be m1 and velocity be v2 and the mass and velocity of the heavy object be m2 and v2 .Given , m1v1=m2v2m1m2=v2v1 ....1Now as we know that kinetic energy is ,E1E2=12m1v1212m2v22Now from equation we can write that ,E1E2=v1v2=m2m1>1 m2>m1E1>E2 .So kinetic energy of the lighter object will be larger .
