A light ray from a medium having a refractive index 1.5 incident on another medium at an angle of 30 degrees. If the angle of refraction is 60 degrees, Find the refractive index of the second medium.

As per Snell’s law
$N_{1}sini=n_{2}sinr$
$\Rightarrow 1.5\times sin{30}^{\circ }=n_{2}sin{60}^{\circ }$
$\Rightarrow 1.5\times \frac{1}{2}=n_2\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$
$\therefore n_2=\frac{1.5}{\sqrt{3}}$
