A light ray going through a prism with the angle of prism ${60}^o$ , is found to deviate at least by ${30}^o$ . What is the range of the refractive index of the prism?

By using

$\mu =\frac{\sin \left(\frac{A+\delta }{2}\right)}{\sin \frac{A}{2}}$

Since on ray deviated by${30}^{\circ }$so the minimum deviation should be either less than or equal to${30}^{\circ }$but can not be more than this.

By substituting the above values and solving we get

$\mu \le \sqrt{2}$
