Solution

The correct option is A 2
Equation of line with x- intercept 'a' and
y- intercept 'b' is

xa+yb=1

OP=a, OD=b

passes through (1,2)

1a+2b=1

b=2aa1

A=12×b×a=a2a1

To minimize the area dAda=0

dAda=a22a(a1)2=0

a=0,2

At a=0, Area = 0 (Not possible)

b=2aa1=4

slope = ba=42=2
