A line of symmetry is the line that divides the figure into two identical halves. Say true or false
False
As we saw earlier too, a line that divides a figure into two equal/identical halves doesn’t need to be the line of symmetry. This can be easily proved by taking the example of a parallelogram
The diagonal of the parallelogram divides it into two identical halves (congruent triangles). But when you fold the figure along that line, the two parts do not overlap with each other. Thus, it is not a line of symmetry though it divides the figure into two identical parts
So, a line of symmetry is that line along which if you fold the figure, one part overlaps other.
