We know that slope of a line through the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is m=y2y1x2x1

So, Slope of line passing through (x1,y1) and (h,k)=ky1hx1
m=ky1hx1
m(hx1)=ky1
ky1=m(hx1)
Hence proved.
