(i) It should be user friendly.
(ii) Reversible
(iii) No or least side effects.
(iv) It should be easily available.
(v) It should not interfere with sexual intercourse. or the desire of the user (any four can be written)

(b) Two intrauterine devices that affect the motility of sperms are: [0.5+0.5]

(i) Copper releasing IUDs (CUT, CU7).

(ii) Hormone releasing IUDs (Progestasert, LNG-20).
