The correct option is B

44 cm2


Given: r = 1 cm ; h = 6 cm

Total Area that needs to be painted = Total Surface Area

Total Surface Area = Curved Surface Area + 2× Base Area

=2πrh+2πr2

=2πr(h+r)

=2×227×1(6+1)

=447×1×7

=44 cm2

Hence the total area that needs to be painted =44 cm2
