The magnetic field at a point due to a current carrying wire is,

B=μ0i4πd[cosα+cosβ]


Let, us take the given wire as (1) and (2) and their field at point P is B1 and B2 respectively.


From the figure,

B1=μ0i4πd[cos0+cos45]

B1=μ0i4πL(1+12)

Similarly,

B2=μ0i4πd[cos0+cos45]

B2=μ0i4πL(1+12)

So, net magnetic field at point P will be

Bnet=B1+B2=2×μ0i4πL(1+12)

Bnet=μ0i(2+1)22πL
