A machine gun fun fires a bulllet of mass 65g with a velocity of 1300 m/s. The man holding it can exert a maximum force of 169 N on the gun. The number of bullets he can fire per second will be:

Mass of each bullet = 65 g = .065 kg

Velocity of each bullet = 1300 ms

Let 'n' be the number of bullets fired per second. Then, change in momentum of the bullets coming out per second is,

= force on the man

= n×(0.065)×(1300)= 169

= n = 2
