Let the mass of complete square be M and each cut part be m.


Taking origin at the centre of complete square.
x coordinate of COM in case [1]:
x1=M×0m×(x)Mm=mxMm
In case [2]:
x2=M×02m×(x)M2m=2mxM2m
In case [3]:
x3=M×02m×(x)m×xM3m=mxM3m

Clearly, x1 is the smallest, but the relation between x2 and x3 is not clear.
So, it can be either x1<x3<x2 or x1<x2<x3
