The correct option is B A strong magnet with south pole upwards.
We know, to reduce the speed of a falling magnet, force needs to applied in the direction opposite to its motion. If we place a strong magnet with its south pole facing upwards, the south pole of the magnet kept on the ground will repel the south pole of the falling magnet as the like pole repel each other. Hence, its speed gets reduced. A stronger magnet with its north pole upwards will make it fall faster. A plastic sheet will not have any effect on the magnet, as it is a non-magnetic material.
