Solution

CP of 1 dozen eggs = Rs 24CP of 10 dozen eggs = Rs 10×24 = Rs 240Now, man sells 6 dozen eggs at the rate of Rs 30/dozen.SP of 1 dozen eggs = Rs 30SP of 6 dozen eggs = Rs 6×30 = Rs 180He sells the remaining 4 dozen eggs at the rate of Rs 18/dozen.SP of 1 dozen eggs = Rs 18SP of 4 dozen eggs = Rs 4×18 = Rs 72Total SP of 10 dozen eggs = SP of 6 dozen eggs + SP of 4 dozen eggs = 180+72 = Rs 252.Now, total SP > total CP, so man gets a profit.Profit = total SP - total CP = 252 - 240 = Rs 12Now, profit% = profitCP×100% = 12240×100% = 5%
