Solution

Let man bought one dozen of 18 rs dozen eggs

cost 18 rs

let man bought one dozen of 20 rs dozen eggs

cost 20 rs

total cost = 20 + 18 = 38 rs

total eggs 2 dozen

selling price 23.75 per dozen

so total selling price = 23.75 × 2 = 47.5 rs

profit = 47.5 - 38

= 9.5 rs

so 38 --------- 9.5

then 100 -------- ????

profit percentage = 9.5 × 100 / 38

= 950 / 38

= 25 %
