Solution

CP of 1 dozen eggs = Rs 48CP of 12 eggs = Rs 48CP of 1 egg = Rs4812 = Rs 4.00CP of 100 eggs = Rs 100×4 = Rs 400Number of eggs broken = 4% of 100 = 4100×100 = 4Number of eggs to be sold = 100 - 4 = 96SP of 1 dozen eggs = Rs 52SP of 12 eggs = Rs 52So, SP of 1 egg = Rs5212 = Rs133SP of 96 eggs = Rs 133×96 = Rs 416Since SP > CP, so there is a profit.Now, profit = SP - CP = 416 - 400 = Rs 16Now, profit % = profitCP×100% = 16400×100 = 4%
