A man buys a certain number of articles at $15$ for Rs $112.50$ and sells them at $12$ for Rs $108.$
Find:
(i) his gain as percent:
(ii) the number of articles sold to make a profit of Rs $75.$

CP of $15$ articles $=Rs112.50$

$\therefore$ CP of $1$ article $=Rs\frac{112.50}{15}=Rs7.50$

SP of $12$ articles $=Rs108$

$\therefore$ SP of $1$ article $=Rs\frac{108}{12}=Rs9$

$\therefore$ Profit $=Rs9-Rs7.5=Rs1.50$

$\left(i\right)\therefore$ Profit$\%=\frac{1.5}{7.5}\times 100=20\%$

$\left(ii\right)$ CP of $50$ article $=Rs50\times 7.5=Rs375$

and, SP of $50$ article $=Rs9\times 50=Rs450$

$\therefore$ Profit $=SP-CP=Rs450-Rs375=Rs75$
