Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Find S.P and C.P of 1 orange

1 dozen =12

It is given that cost price of 1 dozen oranges =26

Cost price of 12 oranges =26

Cost price of 1 orange =2612

=2.16

Selling price of 5 oranges =13

Selling price of 1 orange =135

=2.6

Step 2: Find the gain percent,

Since S.P is greater than C.P

Gain percent =S.P.-C.P.C.P.×100

=2.60-2.162.16×100

=0.442.16×100

=442.16

=20.37%

Hence, the gain percent is 20.37%
