Let $x$ be the days required to complete 1 full job.

$\Rightarrow 10:\frac{5}{8}::x:1$

We know that

Product of means = product of extremes

$\Rightarrow 10\times 1=x\times \frac{5}{8}$

$\Rightarrow 10\times 8=5x$ days

$\Rightarrow \frac{10\times 8}{5}=x$ days

$\Rightarrow 16$ days

Hence the the workers have to work for $16-10$ days = $6$ days more to complete the job.
