After burning, the 1044 candles give 1044 stubs, that give 116 candles
After burning the 116 candles give 116 stubs that give 12 candles + 8 stubs
after burning the 12 candles give 12 stubs
with those 12 stubs + the 8 stubs left, he makes 2 candles
And he still have 4 stubs
116 + 8 + 2 = 130 candles.
