Let the number of $g i r l s$ and $b o y s$ be $Y$ and $X$ respectively
According to question, $X + Y = 50$ and $1.5 X + Y = 65$
On solving these both equations we get $X = 30, Y = 20$
So number of boys are $30$ and number of girls are $20$
