A man invests Rs 3.072 in a company paying 5 % per annum, when its Rs 10 share can be bought for Rs 16 each. Find :

(i) his annual income;

(ii) his percentage income on his investment.

Investment = Rs 3072
Dividend = 5 %
Face value = Rs 10 Market value = Rs 16

(i) Annual Income
No. of share = 307216 = 192
Annual Income = 5100×192×10 = Rs 96

(ii) Percentage Income = 963072×100 = 3.125 %
