Given that,
Shares bought at $R s .140$ ............(Let x)
Shares bought at $R s .125$ ..........(Let y)
amount invested at $6$ %= $140 y$
amount invested at $5$ %= $125 y$
$140 x + 125 y = 6750$
$0.6 (140 x) + 0.05 (125 y) = 280$
$8.4 x + 6.25 y = 280 \times 20$ Let (multiply 20)
$168 x + 125 y = 5600$
Subtract from (i) from (ii)
$28 x = - 1150$
