Solution

V24+V1=1tan30°V2=(4+V1)31

When cyclist speed is double then angle changed to 60°

V28+V1=1tan60°V2=8+V232

From 1 and 2 equation

(4+V1)3=8+V233V1+4×3=8+V12V1=812V1=2ms1V2=23ms1

Velocity of rain =2^i+23(^j)
