The correct option is A 45 m/s
Given:
Mass of man Mm=50 kg
Mass of car, Mc=150 kg
Initial velocity of car, vi=60 m/s
Initial velocity of man in horizontal direction is 0 m/s
Let final velocity of (car+man) is vf
As there are no external forces in horizontal direction, therefore applying conservation of linear momentum in horizontal direction.
Mcvi=(Mc+Mm)vf
vf=McviMc+Mm
=150×60200=45 m/s
