A man purchased a certain quality of sugar Rs 500. He sold half of it at a profit of 5% and the remaining at a loss of 10%. Find the profit or loss percentage on those transaction.

half =250
profit 5%= 0.05*250=12.5
gain sum=250+12.5=262.5
loss 10%= 0.10*250= 25
gain loss= 250-25=225
total =262.5+225=487.5
net loss= (500-487.5)= 12.5/c.p *100
12.5/500 *100=0.025 *100
%=25%
