The correct option is C 20 months
Given, Loan amount =65,000

Repayment through installments 400+700+1000+1300+......


So this series is in A.P. with a=400 , d=300 and Sn=65000

Sn=n2(2a+(n1)d)

n2(2×400+(n1)300)=65000

n(500+300n)=13000

300n2+500n13000=0

3n2+5n130=0

3n2+65n60n130=0

(3n+65)(n20)=0

n=20 (As n cannot be a fractional value)

Therefore he will take 20 months to clear the loans.
