For the first article,
SP=RsS
Given, Profit=25 %
=>SPCPCP×100=25
=>SCP1CP1×100=25
=>SCP1=0.25CP1
=>1.25CP1=S
=>CP1=S1.25=4S5
For the second article,
SP=S
Given, Loss=25 %
=>CPSPCP×100=25
=>CP2SCP2×100=25
=>CP2S=0.25CP2
=>0.75CP2=S
=>CP2=S0.75=4S3
So, Total SP of the two articles =RsS+RsS=Rs2S
Total CP the two articles =Rs4S5+Rs4S3=Rs32S15=2.133S
As total CP> SP, there is a loss
So, Loss % =CPSPCP×100=Rs32S152SRs32S15×100=6.25 %
