A man spends Rs18000 monthly on an average for for months and Rs.20000 monthly for the next eight months and saves Rs.56000 in a year. Find his average monthly salary.

The total amount spent in the first 4 months = Rs 18000 = Rs 72000
The total amount spent in the next 8 months = Rs 2000 = Rs 160000
Savings = Rs 56000
Annual Salary = 72000+160000+56000
= Rs 288000
Monthly Salary = Rs $\frac{288000}{12}$
= Rs 24000
