A man standing in front of a mirror finds his image having a very large head and legs of normal
size. What type of mirrors are used in designing such a mirror ?

Solution

Dear Student,
As the mirror produces two types of image that is large at top and of same size at bottom then the mirror will be a combination of two or more mirrors.
As the head seems to be larger then the top mirror will be a concave mirror as concave mirror produces magnified, virtual and ercet image when the object is kept between P ( principle) and F ( focus) .
While the bottom mirror will be a plane mirror as it produces image of same size as that of object.
