Open in App
Solution

Dear Student ,
The speed of the man with water is 15 Km/h and against water is 5 km/h .
Now let us take that the speed of man in still water is x km/h and speed of river is y km/h .
Therefore , x+y=15 ......(1) and x-y=5 ......(2)
Now adding this two equations we get , x = 10 km/h
Again , putting the value of x in equation (1) we get , y = 5 km/h
Therefore the speed of the man in still water is 10 km/h and the speed of the river is 5 km/h .
