Let the total journey be x km, then according to the question ;

(3/4) of x = by bus

(1/5) of x = by taxi

Remaining = 5 km --> by foot

Remaining distance = x - [(3/4)x+(1/5)x]

5 = x - [(15+4)/20]x
5 = x - (19/20)x
5 = (1/20)x
x = 5×20
= 100

Hence the length of the total journey is 100km
