The correct option is B 4 km/hr
Let us assume that the man walks at a speed of x kmph
Then the time taken by the man to complete the journey is t=48x (time=distancespeed)
Now in the second case, t=t3 and x=x+2.
Then,
t4=48x+2
t48x+2=4
48x48x+2=4
96x(x+2)=4
x2+2x=24
x2+2x24=0
x24x+6x24=0
(x4)(x+6)=0
Speed cannot be a negative value and hence x=4kmph
Option B is correct.
