The correct option is A 7.5m/s
Vrain=10m/s (in negative y direction)
Let, velocity of man = v
Also from the above diagram we get the value of θ as
tanθ=1612=43
then, velocity of rain w.r.t man Vrain/man= v (opposite to man i.e. in negative x direction)
For the required condition :
tan θ=10v=43
or
v=10×34=7.5
